We are greatly concerned with the protests currently taking place in Iran. We want to extend our solidarity to women, girls, students and all those protesting in Iran. Whilst this is pertinent to these current events, we want to make it clear that we oppose all forms of religious and gender-based violence.
We are aware that this affects our student body and want to outline some of the support mechanisms in place: Student Support
· Counselling Services
· Mental Health and Wellbeing Service
· Self Help Resources
· Students’ Association Health and Wellbeing Resources
As a starting point, please sign Amnesty’s petition calling on the international community to act now.
We encourage you to continue to engage in current updates regarding the situation and any developments.
We are always here as a space for support and dialogue for our international student community and the injustices that are occurring across the world. Please get in touch with us at any point as we are always here to talk.
