Beastly Clay Workshop with Kitt Glover
Thursday 9th November, 11am - 1pm
Project Space 2, 2nd Floor
GSASA Building, 20 Scott Street, Glasgow, G3 6RJ
Come along for a relaxed workshop where participants are encouraged to make animals – real and imaginary — from plasticine. Materials will be provided, in addition to modelling tools and gloves. The workshop will be hosted by GSA graduate and participatory artist Kitt Glover. There will be opportunities to socialise in a pressure free environment, take time out, and hopefully make some pretty cool animals. There is zero pressure to create anything especially arty or original.
Kitt Glover is an artist currently living and working in Glasgow. They use illustration, crochet, knitting, sewing, and other physical media to create dynamic objects that act as portals into fantastical dimensions. They also facilitate workshops that encourage alternative, playful storytelling, and explore craft as an act of caregiving.
Please note, this is a companion event to the Race, Rights and Sovereignty workshop Unruly Bodies: Capturing the (in)visible and (im)possible by Rosalie Yu on Friday 10th November at 2-4pm. You are welcome to join the RRS workshop to scan the beasts you make during Beastly Clay. It is not a requirement that you join both, but please feel free to sign up to scan your beasts into a 3D digital model. Please sign up here: [link]
