Student Representative Council (SRC):
The Student Representative Council (SRC) is made up of School Representatives, elected from each of GSA's four Schools.
Your Sabbatical Officers campaign for you. The SRC is how you make sure they're campaigning for the right things. School Representatives help decide the direction, including what campaigns are run, what issues are raised and what needs to change. This could be anything affecting GSA students, from assessment and studio access to welfare and housing. Representatives can raise issues, propose ideas, take part in discussions and vote on proposals. They also help hold Sabbatical Officers to account and make sure students' views are being heard.
Elections run in Semester One. You can stand, vote, or bring something to your School Representative at any point in the year. Voting in the election is one way to have your say, but you can also get involved throughout the year by speaking to your School Representative about the issues that matter to you.
Class Representatives:
Standing as a Class Representative enables you to act as a spokesperson for your fellow students. Reps learn about issues affecting students and ensure that the school act upon these concerns.
