Description

The Attic Theatre Soc is a society for those interested in set or costume design for film and theatre. It can also provide a space for those with an interest in acting, writing, or music and sound design. No prior skills or experience are needed to join, as we encourage you to try out new things!

We aim to produce one to two plays a year, adapting works such as Shakespeare, Greek plays, or even original works.

We also hope to host society events, from craft nights to pub crawls.

We named the society “Attic Theatre” as we envision it as something brought together with scraps from a dress-up box in somebody’s attic - quirky, strange, yet magical and wholly inviting. We want to put on performances that place the visual aesthetic first and foremost, creating something that is beautiful, unique, that connects us as humans, and that is completely handcrafted.

We are a newly formed society, and we still have a lot to learn. We are open to suggestions on how we can improve as we move forwards.
